Positive Climate for Learning.

The return to school has been a wonderfully positive start to the year for our Year 7 to 10 students. Classrooms have been filled with energy and a focus on learning. Students have settled quickly into routines, engaged thoughtfully in discussions, and demonstrated resilience when tackling new challenges. It has been particularly encouraging to see our younger students grow in confidence as they navigate new subjects and expectations, supported by their teachers and peers.

It has been great to see our students taking the chance to participate in extracurricular activities that Epping Secondary College has to offer, such as, a full to the brim makers club in the library or our committed interschool sports teams to name a few. Encouraging your student to take part in these opportunities is a fantastic way to broaden their school experience and enable them to develop skills beyond the class space.

Our recent Year 7 Community Camp was a fantastic celebration of connection and community. It was a special opportunity to officially welcome our newest students into the ESC community and to mark the beginning of their secondary school journey together.

Throughout the camp, students enthusiastically participated in a range of engaging day activities designed to build teamwork, resilience, and friendships. It was wonderful to see new friendships solidifying and students stepping outside their comfort zones with confidence and enthusiasm.

For many students, the experience was made even more memorable through the overnight camp component. Staying together provided valuable time to strengthen bonds, develop independence, and share in the excitement of the disco and movie.

The camp concluded with a shared lunch, bringing students, staff and families together in a relaxed and celebratory atmosphere.
