Year 9 Mass

Working with staff members like Mr Mario Favotto – his first year at Trinity, is always refreshing because he lives out our mantra – Men for Others in his everyday actions.  Thank you, Mr Favotto, for preparing the Year 9 students as we all gathered for the Year 9 Term 3 Mass.  Our commentator, Sonny Giddings, explained to his peers that when we treat everyone with love, compassion and respect, we also love Jesus. 

This linked beautifully with our focus to be a good Christian, loving others as Jesus did. Thank you to all students who had a role to play in this special Mass, especially Mr Favotto’s 9.7 PCG. What an amazing group of dedicated and faith-filled young men.  It was also wonderful to see so many parents supporting their sons at Mass. 

Feast of the Assumption

It is always a blessing to meet as a College community to celebrate Mass.  The Feast of the Assumption is important for the Church because the body and soul of the Blessed Virgin Mary was taken into heaven after the end of her earthly life.  Mary is seen as the first disciple of Jesus, the Mother of the Church, and a model for all disciples. Today, we reflect on Mary’s role as a mother, a wife and a friend, reminding us to be thankful for our own mothers or mother figures.

I would like to thank the Fra Oscar for his words of encouragement and wisdom, reminding us to tell our mothers, fathers, family and friends that we love them.  To our Extraordinary Ministers, our readers, students taking up the offertory, our reverent Altar Servers, the ever-talented chorale, our groundsman, and staff who assisted or helped set up; and to staff, students and parents who participated in this special Eucharistic celebration.  Thank you and God bless!

Friday Community Mass

Another lovely turnout at our 8:00am Mass this week. A special thank you to our readers from 7.8 & 11.8 for hosting today’s Mass and to their PCG teachers, Ms Scordo and Ms Formosa.  We love seeing our regulars also attending.
