Wellbeing Corner

Great job on an excellent 2025 MITS mob! 

 

It’s been a huge year in wellbeing – we have had plenty of different groups come and visit us to chat to you guys about how best to look after your wellbeing. We’ve had healthy cooking with Swisse, regular fun activities with Headspace, Tindarra from The Koori Way teaching us about why we shouldn’t vape or smoke, Victoria Police starting to engage with us regularly through ‘Yarn with a Cop’, Djirra teaching us about respectful relationships, Ctrl Your Scroll helping us engage healthily with social media, Pat Cronin Foundation talking to us about the dangers of physical violence, and plenty of sessions at school and boarding about how to manage our emotions and feel strong.

 

Thanks for a great year – your strength and resilience being so far from home continues to impress us all. Don’t forget there’s heaps of support out there still for you to access over the holidays. We hope you have a strong and safe time back home and can’t wait to see you back in 2026!
