Our Graduating Year 12's

MITS Year 7 Class of 2020
Leah Baird - has completed Yr 12 at CGGS.
Leah has already been working as a teacher aide with her Nana, Alison who teaches at Milingimbi in the NT. In 2026 Leah has applied to do teacher training at Monash University, Clayton or ACU.
Lesharnie Hall and Ciara Stewart – having completed Year 12 at Kingswood College, and with Ochre cards in hand, both girls spent the month of November working at Ngukurr School as Assistant Teachers. They showed great initiative and organised this themselves. Many thanks to Ngukurr School and staff for supporting these adventurers!
In 2026 Lesharnie will take a gap year and plans to work then travel overseas. She will defer a Nursing/Midwifery course at Monash, Clayton.
Similarly, Ciara may take a gap year and work then travel overseas. Or she may continue on to university and start Nursing/Midwifery, Education or Psychology at Monash, Clayton.
Nickiesha Wurramara - has completed Yr 12 at Kingswood. In 2026 she has applied to do Nursing at ACU or a Cert IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care at Batchelor Institute, NT.
Peggy Martin - has completed Yr 12 at Firbank. Last week Peggy commenced a Mechanical Refrigeration apprenticeship with A.G Coombs (after recent work experience there), and she is also the recipient of a generous relocation scholarship from AG Coombs. Shout out to AG Coombes! Peggy has also been asked to train with VFLW at Box Hill.
Sheronica Snowy - has completed Yr 12 at Firbank. Since finishing school Sherry has been working at Fancy Films, the MITS classroom, assisting with MITS transition visits and playing domestic basketball for a local team in Brighton.
In 2026 she has applied to do a Cert III in Fitness at CDU, alongside a Cert II in Health, and has been successful in gaining accommodation at the Indigenous Youth Mobility Project (IYMP), Youth Worker supported housing in Darwin.
Kendyn Brown - has completed his VCE at St Kevin’s College. Kendyn has already been offered accommodation at Trinity College, and in 2026 plans to study Arts or Agriculture at the University of Melbourne.
