Term 4 Week 8
PREMIER’S READING CHALLENGE CERTIFICATES
St Patrick’s has had another successful year with over 320 students entering the NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge. This equates to thousands of books read by our students. Congratulations St Patrick’s! Certificates for our K-2 students will be sent home in Week 9. We congratulate these students for embarking on a lifelong journey of reading.
Special congratulations to our Years 3-6 students who completed PRC independently. They will be presented with their PRC certificates at assembly on Friday 12th December at 2.15pm. Please join us! Some of these students will receive their Gold Level certificates for 4 consecutive years of PRC. Special congratulations to our Year 6 students who will receive their Platinum Certificates for 7 consecutive years and are working towards achieving their PRC medal in Year 9/10. These students have shown remarkable commitment to their reading.
LIBRARY BORROWING
Library borrowing has finished for 2025 in preparation for stock take. We ask that all library books are returned to the library asap. Your child may receive a reminder notice for overdue books. If you have lost books please let us know by returning the reminder notice with a note.
FAREWELL TO MRS CATHY BUNTING
After many decades of service to St Patrick’s as a Learning Support Officer, Mrs Catherine Bunting has decided to retire at the end of 2025.
Mrs Bunting has dedicated many hours to learning support in the classroom, meeting the diverse needs of students with compassion and enthusiasm.
Much of Mrs Bunting’s time was spent in the school library. She has worked tirelessly to nurture a love for all things reading, ensuring our library is a vibrant space filled with books, resources and fun. Mrs Bunting has coordinated many Book Fairs, organised visiting authors and illustrators for our students and of course has been front and centre each year as we celebrate Book Week.
Mrs Bunting has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the library and the students and staff will miss her presence at St Patrick's. We wish her well in this next chapter of her life.
