The Catholic Education Foundation supports access to Catholic education by providing financial assistance to families experiencing hardship. As part of Sydney Catholic Schools, we proudly support this foundation so that every child, regardless of circumstance, can experience the opportunities of a Catholic Education grounded in faith, service and community.

Thank you to all the children for participating in our Catholic Education Foundation Mufti day fundraiser on Monday, through your very kind donations we raised $673.00.

Family to Family

Thank you also to all the support from families who kindly donated a gift card to support families in need. It is very much appreciated and will go to support a family in need this Christmas.

Thank You for Supporting Our Shire Family Educator, Men’s Mental Health Night

On Monday, 24 November, our community came together for an incredible evening in support of Movember and men’s mental health. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and contributed to making the night such a meaningful success.

The event featured an exceptional guest panel whose honesty, expertise, and humour created an atmosphere that was both powerful and uplifting. We were honoured to welcome:

  • Blayke Brailey – Cronulla Sharks Hooker
  • James Graham – Former rugby league player and respected sports pundit
  • Nathan Pickworth – High Performance Manager, Cronulla Sharks
  • Dr Mike Martin – Founder of Bloke Therapy
  • David Eccles – Co-founder of WNOW
  • Fr Dan – Our very own parish priest and passionate advocate for wellbeing

Together, they led an engaging discussion on the importance of mental health awareness. They shared personal experiences, valuable insights, and practical strategies for supporting ourselves and those around us. Despite the depth of the topic, the panel also brought plenty of humour, ensuring that many laughs were had along the way.

Events like this remind us of the strength found in community, conversation, and connection. By showing up, you helped break down the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and reinforced the message that no one has to face their struggles alone.

Thank you once again for your support of Movember and for helping create a night that will have a lasting impact.

Although the run-up to Christmas is an exciting time, it can also be stressful or lonely. If you’re struggling with your mental health, it’s really important to seek help. Your GP or taking the free 'Men's Mind Quiz' on the Bloke Therapy website are a great starting point.
