Celebrating Achievement at Our Recent Merit Assemblies

Our recent merit assemblies have been a wonderful celebration of our students’ effort, enthusiasm, and achievement. It’s truly inspiring to witness ASC students consistently demonstrating our school values and striving to do their very best.

Students are recognised across a range of award categories that build on one another throughout the year:

• Wings: Given regularly for consistently showing responsibility, care, and positive behaviour in daily school life. These awards encourage strong and steady habits.
• Extracurricular: Acknowledges students who actively participate in rehearsals, clubs, and volunteering, highlighting the diverse ways students engage beyond the classroom.
• Commendations: Awarded for representing ASC with consistent effort and strong academic achievement — recognising those who go above and beyond in their learning and school community.
• Merits: Given each semester for excellence, improvement, and sustained effort in class, these awards celebrate significant progress and achievement.

As students earn more awards, they progress through milestone levels, starting with Bronze and moving through Silver and Gold. Continued dedication leads to higher honors such as the Platinum Award, Diamond Award, and ultimately the Principal’s Medallion. This progression reflects the ongoing growth, commitment, and success of our students throughout their time at ASC.

Congratulations to everyone who received an award this term—your dedication greatly enriches our school community. We encourage all students to keep striving, engaging, and building on their achievements as we look forward to celebrating even more successes at our next merit assembly!

As we approach the holidays, I’d like to wish everyone a safe and restful break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday, 21st July.

It has been an exciting term, highlighted by our ASC Mamma Mia musical. The performance was a wonderful showcase of our talented students, supported by our amazing backstage crew who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Congratulations to everyone involved!

I would also like to congratulate all our students on their amazing sporting achievements. Our Athletics Carnival was a great success, with many records being broken—well done to all who participated!

A special reminder to our Year 12 students—your final 12 weeks at school are approaching quickly. Make the most of this time and reach out for support if you need it.
