Reconciliation Week Mass - Year 1/2
On Thursday 28th May our Year 1/2 students beautifully prepared and led our National Reconciliation Mass at St Brendan's Church. It was a celebration that highlighted both our connection to our Catholic faith and our shared responsibility to our country. The Mass featured a beautiful Indigenous feel, allowing our community to pause, reflect and pray for healing, unity and deep respect across Australia. A huge thank you to our wonderful Year 1/2 students and their teachers for putting together such a thoughtful liturgy. It was a truly lovely way for our school to come together in faith and solidarity.
Eucharist Commitment Mass #3
We held our third Eucharist Commitment Mass, and it was wonderful to see our students and their families join the parish community. A big thank you to the families for your presence and support; your commitment helps make this journey of faith so meaningful for the children. Please keep these students in your prayers as they continue their preparation. To help bind our school and parish communities together, the children presented "Prayer for Me" cards, which were shared with parishioners and received a special candle. Please continue to hold all of our Eucharist candidates in your hearts as they journey closer to receiving their First Holy Communion.
Eucharist Family Booklet -
Our students preparing for their First Eucharist are asked to please continue to work on their Family Eucharist Booklets. These booklets are a special way for families to sit together and explore the meaning of the Sacrament. We are especially excited to see the beautiful artwork the children will create as they work through the pages! These pieces will be displayed in our church, so please take your time and enjoy the process. We can’t wait to see your creativity on show!
Confirmation Workshop -
A reminder to our Year 6 families that our Confirmation Family Workshop will be held on Thursday 11th June from 5-6pm in the MPR. This workshop is for our Year 6 Confirmation candidates and their families. It is a vital and engaging step in your child's preparation for the Sacrament, and we look forward to sharing this evening of reflection and learning with you all.
Please also note in your calendars that the Confirmation Commitment Mass #2 will take place on Saturday 13th June at 6:00pm at St Brendan's Church.
Year 6 Retreat Day -
On Thursday 18th June, ALL Year 6 students will be participating in the Confirmation Retreat Day from 9:00am to 3:00pm. This is a dedicated, sacred time for the students to step away from their regular school day and reflect on the gifts of the Holy Spirit The venue is St Mary's Hastings and students will travel to and from via school bus, they will need to bring their own recess snack/lunch/water bottle in a small backpack. The day will be led by Gen Bryant and her team. Please keep our Year 6 students preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation in your prayers as they approach this special milestone.
