CBCA Book Week 2025 - Book an Adventure!

Book Week is coming! From August 18 - 22, we will be celebrating with lots of fun activities including author Jack Heath talking to our Junior School. At lunchtime on Wednesday 20 August we will hold a Book Week Dress Up Competition. Students come to school in their school uniform and then will change into their costume. Prizes to be won! Books by Jack and all of the books in the Older Readers shortlist for the Book of the Year award are available to borrow from the library.

 

Library & Information Week 2025

Library and Information Week was held in libraries around Australia last week. The 2025 theme ‘To Read or Not To Read: Literacy Matters’ shines a light on how libraries actively work to dismantle barriers to literacy including supporting communities in the areas of literacy, media literacy, multicultural engagement, digital inclusion, disability access and more. Check out our ‘Six reads in six words’ recommendations for our Junior School by library staff member Ms Hanger!

 

 

National Science Week 2025 - ‘Decoding the Universe’

This week, we celebrate National Science Week. Decoding the Universe – Exploring the unknown with nature’s hidden language.’ This theme invites students and teachers across Australia to delve into the mysteries of the Universe by exploring the fundamental languages of nature, including mathematics and the groundbreaking field of quantum science. 

 

 

 

Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge

Students still have time to enter the challenge which closes 5th September! Students can check their Year Level Google Classrooms or pop into the library to find out more.
