Upper Primary (Years 5-6)
Welcome back to Term 3! Upper Primary students have settled straight back into routines and have had a great start to the Term. We were privileged to have Uncle Ron and Sarah come and present to us for NAIDOC Week. In classes, students participated in a variety of activities to commemorate the occasion. Our Inquiry topic this Term is All Mixed Up and students have been introduced to the vocabulary solid, liquid and gas. It will be a fun topic with lots of hands-on mixing activities for students to develop their understanding.
Lower Secondary (Years 7-8)
Lower Secondary students have made a fantastic start to the term, returning to school with enthusiasm and a wonderful attitude towards learning. They have quickly settled back into their routines and are showing great eagerness in all areas of school life.
This Term began with engaging NAIDOC activities, including making damper bread, crafting the Rainbow Serpent, and building campfires. Students have also enjoyed hands-on science experiments exploring changes in states of matter. They began to learn about time and equal groups in Maths, to plan autobiographies in Writing, and to read "Come Over to My House" in Reading.
A highlight for many was the recent excursion to Watergardens Shopping Centre, where students practised ordering lunch and developed important community safety skills. We are so proud of their achievements and positive approach to learning at the start of this term!"
