Bullying, No Way! We

August 2026

Next week is Bullying, No Way! Week.

“Bullying No Way Week is Australia’s leading initiative for bullying prevention in schools. It’s an opportunity for schools to foster a shared understanding of bullying behaviours and highlight strategies for their prevention.”

Last year, we started a successful program in junior school to help students understand, prevent and respond to bullying. We will be running that program again this year across the next four weeks, and we’re asking all teachers to support this initiative.

  • A NewsFeed message on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday next week. We’re asking all teachers in to read the NewsFeed to their classes in period 1 next week.
  • Next Thursday, period 5, Brainstorm Productions are presenting to Year 7 & 8 students.
  • In early September, Year 7 – 9 students are asked to complete the anti-bullying survey.
  • The initiative ends with R U OK day on Thursday 10 September https://www.ruok.org.au/

We know that a whole-school approach with shared language will support our students in their wellbeing, and hence allow them the opportunity to (hopefully) learn more productively.
