2026 School Leaders

During Week 4, students presented their speeches in front of all the Y5 students, staff members and leadership. They all did an incredible job at showcasing what they would bring to the role if elected and we were extremely proud of the quality of speeches delivered.

We are so excited to announce our elected Student Leaders for 2026 are:

Nolan House captains: Cooper Winn, Xander Kaminski

Hollows House captains: Cooper Cleeland, Aliyyah Innes

Fanning House captains: Mia Benn-Nicholls, Artem Chumenko

Fearnley House captains: Sloan Broom, Lucy Gradkowski

Students will be presented their leadership badges at the first whole school assembly of 2026.

Creek Coin Rewards

Today Saanvi and Harnoor from Year 5 cashed in their hard earned creek coins for a special lunch with Kathryn. This is the second time this year the girls have saved 50 creek coins each and opted for a break time with one of the principals. For those other students wondering how they can reach 50 (or more!) creek coins, Saanvi and Harnoor said they have earned theirs by answering questions in full sentences, contributing positively to class dicussions, listening intently during lessons, doing their work with complete discipline and helping others.

Remembrance Day

Next week, our school community will come together to commemorate Remembrance Day. Students will take part in meaningful classroom activities, including craft projects to help them reflect on the importance of the day, including poppy making and a whole school poppy display.

On Tuesday 11th November, we will hold a special Remembrance Day service where our school captains will lay wreaths to honour those who have served and sacrificed for our country. The service will conclude with one minute of silence, as we pause to remember and show our respect for the men and women who have fought for the peace and

freedom we enjoy today.

Movember

This month, some of our amazing teachers are taking part in Movember — growing moustaches to raise money and awareness for men’s health and well-being.

Since it began in 2003, Movember has been tackling some of the biggest health issues faced by men, including mental health, suicide prevention and cancer.

Thanks to Movember, men around the world are living healthier, longer lives.

Congratulations Ziggy Brack!

Huge congratulations to Ziggy Brack! Ziggy represented Armstrong Creek School at the State Athletics Championships and finished 2nd in both the 800m and 1500m! 🥈🥈
