Abstract Art

Junior School (Prep - Grade 2):

Our lovely young artists have finalised their Etel Adnan inspired work for the Art Show, which will be hosted in our gymnasium during week 9 of this term. It will be so exciting to showcase their incredible work. Each student will have two works on display and they have all worked tirelessly on refining their pieces. 

Senior School (Grade 3/4 - Grade 5/6):

Grade 3 and 4 students have been working on abstract art and making some very creative and curious creations. Currently, students are working on abstract portraits inspired by Olga Mun. They are challenged to play with proportion and placement of facial features to create uniquely constructed portraits. 

Grade 5 students have been working on their final pieces for the art show - a multi-medium piece that uses oil pastels, paper, clay and haberdashery. These pieces are currently being prepared for presentation, with students mounting their work onto black card and creating their exhibition labels. 

Our senior students in grade 6 are working on their very exciting legacy project! Each grade 6 student is preparing an installation which will be on display for years to come at RHPS.
