Term 4 Week 6

Welcome to Week 6 everyone,

Canberra Excursion

This week I am privileged to be a part of the Canberra Excursion with our wonderful Year 6 students. I want to acknowledge and thank the staff and parents accompanying our students. It is a significant sacrifice to be away from their own families for a week, and I know that our students are very appreciative of this. We have been seeing amazing sights and having a wonderful time.

Colour Run

A huge thank you to our PT&F for the wonderful Colour Run and End of Year BBQ last Friday. It was great to see so many families coming together. I think that the joy on the children's faces was equal to that of the parents spraying them! Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time in assisting on the night.

Captain's Speeches

This week and next our Year 5 cohort are putting themselves out there by nominating themselves for a Captain role in 2026. I know that we have a cohort full of aspiring leaders and I look forward to hearing some of their speeches next week. Please take time to remind your child that all children in Year 6 at St Nicholas Primary School are leaders of our school. It is not the badge that makes a leader, but the words and actions of the individual.

Principal for a Day

Next week Mrs Daley and Mrs Dunst will be interviewing some of our Year 6 students who have applied to be Principal for a Day. Next fortnight's Principal's address will be written by the lucky student selected.

Take care and have a wonderful week.
