2026 Student Voice Leaders

Announcement: 2026 Student Voice Leaders

The building of student voice is a key pillar of Truganina P-9 College's 2024-2028 strategic plan, as we know that students that have a real say in their learning and how their school runs have stronger connections, more school pride and are more engaged in their learning.

Key parts of this work are our Student Voice Leaders. Appointed from Year 5 to Year 9, the Student Voice Leaders are the connection between students and our teachers and school leaders. They attend staff meetings, meet regularly with assistant principals and also College Principal Amanda Williams, giving recommendations for school improvement, analysing data and sharing student perspectives.

All of this year's leaders completed a written application with a teacher endorsement and an interview process before being selected. Due to the high number of outstanding candidates, we are excited that the group has expanded from five members in 2025 to seven this year, giving even greater opportunity for powerful student voice. They will work closely with Learning Specialist Kelsey Vo throughout 2026.

The Student Voice, Agency and Leadership portfolio is thrilled to announce that the 2026 Student Voice Leaders are:

  • Neha 5A
  • Riya 5A
  • Hanan 6H
  • Joshua 7D
  • Ryan 7D
  • Zunairah 8B
  • Himmat 9C

Congratulations to all of these fantastic new leaders of student voice.
