Connecting at Home with The Resilience Project

Connection doesn’t have to be complicated. One of the most powerful ways to build resilience in children is through simple, meaningful conversations at home. Talking about bravery, kindness, emotions, and the best moment of the day helps children feel seen, heard, and supported. These small, regular moments of connection strengthen emotional awareness, empathy, and gratitude — and remind us that resilience grows best when we grow together.

You can use The Resilience Project discussion prompts as an easy way to connect as a family. The questions encourage children to reflect on their day, share their feelings, and develop important wellbeing skills.

You might like to use the prompts at the dinner table, on the drive home, before bed, or as part of a calm evening routine. There’s no right or wrong way to use them — even one question can open the door to meaningful conversation.

Tip for families: Take turns answering the questions so everyone has a chance to share — children benefit from hearing adults model honesty and reflection too!
