Year 12 Formal

Friday 7th February was the Year 12's night of nights...the highly anticipated Formal. They all scrubbed up nicely and had a fabulous night of delicious food, dancing and fun! Here are two student write-ups on the night.

The formal was truly an amazing experience that brought everyone together in a way that made the night unforgettable. It's unfortunate that we only get to experience it once, but I believe that was what made the evening so special. The food was absolutely delicious, and the DJ had everyone dancing, which created such a lively atmosphere. Overall, the event was a great opportunity to form closer relationships with everyone, and I’m grateful for the experience. - Zoe V.

On Friday the 7th of February, the Year 12 students attended our school formal at Merrimu Receptions. It was a much-anticipated night with everyone looking absolutely incredible, including our fabulous teachers and celebrating the beginning of our final year! I was honoured to be the MC for the night, which was an unforgettable experience. The night was filled with unexpected awards and plenty of laughter!

It was fantastic to see our school community come together to celebrate an unforgettable night for everyone. We all had a great time dancing on the dance floor, the boys showing off their secret dance moves and the teachers showing off their dance moves no one knew they had.

We had a wonderful photographer capturing those unforgettable memories, a fun photo booth with different props that had everyone engaged and great food (including the sticky date pudding). Thank you so much to all the teachers for organising such a spectacular night and to our school captains Atika and Campbell, for pulling everything together.

I hope everyone had an amazing night making unforgettable memories and that the Year 11s are keen for next year! I’m looking forward to a hard but rewarding year with my amazing cohort and teachers! Good luck everyone :) - Abbey H.

Big Day Out student testimonials

In the last edition of The Cheltonian we featured a wrap-up and some photos of the Year 12's Big Day Out...here are some student testimonials...

I had such an amazing day. It was so great to mix with different people you wouldn’t normally talk to. It helped also not having to pack any lunch just a few snacks and a water bottle. It was great to talk about the year ahead and celebrate a massive milestone of making to Year 12. The teachers made it fun and enjoyable. Thank you again!!!

Overall it was an amazing experience. I really enjoyed the workshops I chose and enjoyed going to Waves as well. My favourite workshop I enjoyed was yoga with Mrs Beames. It was very relaxing, and I loved how it worked the whole body.

It was one of the best days in a while; it helped us ease our minds about school for a little bit and also gave us tips on how to survive school. We got to spend the day with the whole cohort, which was nice, getting along with everyone and spending time with fellow peers.

The Big Day Out was a fun way to relax and learn about the many stress tactics we can implement into our daily lives to relieve the stress that we may encounter.

Year 11 VCE Media

The first shoots were taken during the week of 20th February for Year 11 VCE Media's 'Media Forms in Production' piece. Students will use the technical codes of camera, lighting, and sound together with the symbolic codes of setting, acting, and mise-en-scene to create some onscreen experiments.
