SSV - Cricket, AFL and Swimming
Over the past fortnight, a number of our students have had the opportunity to represent the school at SSV trials across AFL, cricket and swimming. Hunter, Ollie and Tom participated in the AFL trials, while Jack, Ted and Tom competed in the cricket trials. There were also many students involved in the Hume Region swimming trials, and all are to be congratulated for their efforts.
A special mention goes to Lukas, who has been selected to progress to the state level—an outstanding achievement.
All students demonstrated a high level of skill, commitment and enthusiasm throughout their respective trials. They should be extremely proud of the way they performed and the effort they put in. Just as importantly, they represented our school with excellent sportsmanship, respect and positive attitudes.
We congratulate all of these students on their achievements and the way they conducted themselves, both on and off the field.
Cross Country
Cross Country will take place in Term 2 on Thursday 21 May. This event will involve students in Years 3–6 and will be held in conjunction with P–12 at the Arundel Street Ovals.
To ensure our younger students don’t miss out, a separate cross-country event for Foundation to Year 2 will be held in term 2 also. This event will take place at school during an afternoon session, with the exact date to be confirmed.
