Y10 Deakin University Day Visit

On Wednesday 4th March, Year 10 students participated in " Deakin University  Day Visit". This event provided students with a valuable  glimpse into university life and helped them to start thinking about their future study and career pathways. We are pleased that ten of our international students joined the event and had a wonderful experience.

One of the highlights of the day was visiting Deakin’s newly developed Exercise andSport Science facilities. This program is widely recognised as one of the top programs not only in Australia but also internationally. The facilities are equipped with advanced technology and equipment, allowing students to combine strong theoretical learning with extensive practical training. Interestingly, real patients can also make appointments to receive assessments and treatments within the teaching clinic, giving university students valuable real-world experience.

Kingston Women of the Year Award

Our international Student Captain Evelyn Lyu has the opportunity to attend the 2026 Kingston Women of the Year Award on Thursday, 5th March at Kingston City Hall.

The event celebrated the achievements of inspiring women in the Kingston community who demonstrated true leadership and dedication. Here is the message from Evelyn:

" I have learnt the  phrase “balance the scales”, which encourages everyone to recognise and support women’s impact. I was especially inspired  by Georgina, a Year 11 student and youth nominee who demonstrates outstanding leadership through her work at the Black Rock Life Saving Club, where she helps to keep beaches safe and educate the public about water safety. Hearing her story inspired me to continue developing my own leadership skills at school and to become a thoughtful young woman who can positively influence others.
