Plain English Speaking Competition

On Tuesday the 5th of May, Year 10 student Abbigeal Forrester-Duncan competed in the Plain English Speaking Competition at Griffith High School run by the NSW Arts Unit. She competed against students from Wade and Griffith High. Her prepared speech 'Lead into One' on the effects of racism on society was well-delivered and she received accolades for the tone and content of her speech. At the end of the competition, though she did not win, she received valuable feedback and a certificate for her hard work. Abbigeal will next compete in the Interschools Griffith Public Speaking competition on May 28th at Wade High. Well done, Abbigeal.
