Years F - 2

The F/1/2 students have adjusted well to completing a range of summative assessments in preparation for semester one reports. We are incredibly proud of the effort and persistence shown by all students during this period, particularly as they adapted to changes in our usual timetable and classroom routines.
During Respectful Relationships, we have continued exploring our school value of Unity. Students have participated in a variety of teamwork challenges, puzzles, and cooperative activities designed to strengthen their communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. It has been wonderful to see students supporting one another and working together towards shared goals.
In Mathematics, students have been developing their understanding of data by collecting information, conducting simple surveys with their peers, and representing their findings in different ways. They have then used this data to answer questions, compare results, and discuss trends they noticed.
In Literacy, we recently completed our Fairytales unit, where students explored the common features of traditional tales and responded to a variety of texts. We have now begun our Poetry unit and are enjoying investigating different types of poems, identifying poetic features, and experimenting with rhythm, rhyme, and creative language.
