National Donut Day – A Sweet Success!
What an incredible celebration we had for National Donut Day! It was truly a huge success, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who stepped in to help make the day possible.
We were absolutely inundated with donut orders, and it was amazing to see just how excited our students were to receive their treats. The smiles across the school said it all!
Our parents were also able to enjoy the celebration, receiving a complimentary donut alongside their coffee at the Friday Assembly, a small act of kindness.
And of course, we didn’t forget our amazing staff! During morning tea, our hardworking team was treated to plenty of donuts to keep them energised and feeling appreciated throughout the day.
In total, we handed out over 500 donuts, what a blessing!
Thank you again to everyone who helped make the day such a sweet and memorable occasion. We love seeing our community come together like this and look forward to many more moments like it.
Barista Basics Course is Back!
Hello Amazing Coffee Enthusiasts! Have you ever wanted to craft a barista-style beverage? Maybe you’ve got some skills already, but would love a refresher on how to make the perfect brew?
DCS Community is looking for passionate volunteers to help out in the Jiloa Café on Assembly days, serving up great coffee and warm smiles to our wonderful community. If you’re keen to step into this space but just need a little boost in your barista confidence, especially when it comes to stretching milk like a pro, this refresher session is for you!
We are opening our doors and offering a Barista Basics Course on Friday 19th June 9.00am. Come along, learn, connect, and caffeinate!
DCS Community Parent Library
We’re pleased to share with you all that we have a DCS Community Parent Library, that is now freshly stocked with a range of fantastic books for you to enjoy! You will find the collection on a bookshelf in the Jiloa Centre, near the Jiloa Café window.
Please feel free to browse and borrow at your leisure. All we ask is that you:
Sign your name and the book title on the borrowing sheet when taking a book
Tick the box on the sheet once you have returned it next to your name.

The Upper Room Prayer
As a school we like to pray for both our school and the wider community.
You are invited to join with others in our community in prayer, every Wednesday straight after Worship Wednesday from 9am.
This will be held in the meeting room at the front office.
We would love to partner with you in prayer for our DCS Community.

DCS Community Lunch Orders – Subway & Liv Eat
DCS Community facilitates the option for all students to order Subway and Liv Eat lunches via the Canteen Hub app.
Orders are placed through the Subway Canteen Hub and delivered directly to the school.
Subway is available every Wednesday.
Liv Eat is available every Friday.
Order cut‑off times:
Subway: Tuesdays by 9:30pm
Liv Eat: Thursdays by 12:00pm
