News and Information from Primary

'Daily PE' – Primary Students Building Community

Throughout the year so far, our Primary students have been enjoying our 'Daily PE' sessions, held every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am – 8:45am.

These sessions are a wonderful initiative led by our Year 6 students, who take on the responsibility of facilitating activities for younger students. Students are grouped across year levels, with Year 6 leaders working with either Year 1–2 or Year 3–5 groups, and all students are organised within their House groups.

This program has been a fantastic way to strengthen community across the Primary School. Students are building connections beyond their own classes, getting to know peers from different year levels, and developing a strong sense of belonging within their House teams. Alongside the community benefits, students are engaging in fun, energetic physical activity to start their day, setting a positive tone for learning.

We are particularly proud of our Year 6 students, who have shown great initiative, creativity, and leadership in designing and running a variety of engaging games and activities. Their enthusiasm and care for younger students have been a highlight of this program.

We look forward to seeing this continue to grow as a valued part of our Primary community.
