Hello Amazing Coffee Enthusiasts! Have you ever wanted to craft a barista-style beverage? Maybe you’ve got some skills already, but would love a refresher on how to make the perfect brew?
DCS Community is looking for passionate volunteers to help out in the Jiloa Café on Assembly days, serving up great coffee and warm smiles to our wonderful community. If you’re keen to step into this space but just need a little boost in your barista confidence, especially when it comes to stretching milk like a pro, this refresher session is for you!
We are opening our doors and offering a Barista Basics Course on Friday 19th June 9.00am. Come along, learn, connect, and caffeinate!

This year, the Devonport Christian School Inc. AGM is being held on Tuesday 23 June in the 9/10 Learning Centre.
The evening will commence with a time of connection from 6:45pm – 7:00pm. This is an ideal time for Association Members to catch up and chat over a hot drink and supper prior to the AGM commencing at 7:00pm.
Members of the DCS community are welcome to come along, with Association members able to participate in the election of Board members.

The Tasmanian Brick Enthusiasts Inc. invites all DCS primary students to take part in the 2026 Brixhibition LEGO Schools Challenge. Students are encouraged to let their creativity shine by designing and building their own LEGO model to bring to school for judging. The overall winner will then have the exciting opportunity to enter Brixhibition Ulverstone 2026.
There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs, including LEGO vouchers, trophies, and local attraction passes—both for the school’s overall winner and for the top four finalists at the Brixhibition event.
This is a wonderful chance for students to showcase their imagination, have fun, and be part of a bigger community event celebrating creativity and building!

We are delighted to inform you that Devonport Christian School will be participating in the world-renowned ICAS Assessments again this year.
What is ICAS?
ICAS is an online academic competition that gives students the opportunity to challenge their higher order thinking and problem-solving skills in English, Mathematics, Science, Writing, Spelling Bee, and Digital Technologies. Every student who participates is celebrated and recognised with a printed certificate in each subject area, and an online results report to track development each year. Top performers are eligible for ICAS medals.
We encourage you to consider entering your children in Years 2 to 10 into ICAS this year. The assessments are suitable for students wishing to extend themselves academically and take up the personal challenge of competing in a world-renowned international assessment. Your child will be presented with high-quality, expert-developed questions, allowing them to apply their learning without the need for prior study or revision.
You may nominate and pay for your child to participate in any or all of the following competitions. Please note that Writing is not available for Year 2 students and we are not offering Spelling Bee or Digital Technologies for Year 8, 9 or 10 students.
