German Film Festival

On Monday, a group of Year 9, 10, and 11 German students went on an excursion to the Regent Cinemas to view a German film titled “The Secret Floor” as a part of the 2026 German Film Festival. The film followed a young boy whose parents had recently purchased an old hotel to renovate. He later discovered the mysterious elevator, which transports him back to the year 1938, where he befriends a young girl and boy. We shared classic German haribo lollies, laughter and tears! It was a great way to be able to immerse ourselves in the German language.

In the afternoon of May 25th, 2026, Frau Ross-Harris with Frau Brill were kind enough to offer us the opportunity to attend the HSBC German Film Festival, which created an eager cluster of Year 9s,10s and 11s. We caught the bus and arrived at our destination, Palace Regent Cinemas.

The staff were very nice and welcoming to our own BHS private screening of a German Language Film.
