Child Safe Standard 4 in ACTION
Dear Families,
This week our staff came together and spent time learning more about Child Safe Standard 4 - Working Together for our Children
Families and communities are informed and involved in promoting child safety and wellbeing.
This standard is all about making sure families and communities are informed, included, and involved in supporting children’s safety and wellbeing.
Together, we talked about the many ways we already work in partnership with you, and how important these connections are. When schools and families work closely together, children feel safer, more supported, and more confident in their learning environment.
At CCK, we support this by:
Sharing regular updates through newsletters, emails, and online platforms;
Inviting families to be part of meetings and planning for their child;
Providing clear ways for you to ask questions, share feedback, or raise concerns;
Creating opportunities for families to be involved in school life
Research from organisations like the Australian Institute of Family Studies and the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth shows that when families are informed and involved, children are more likely to feel safe, develop strong relationships, and experience positive wellbeing.
We value the role you play in our school community and look forward to continuing to work together to support every child to feel safe, happy, and ready to learn. Please see below the Child Safe Standard 4 Parent Newsletter.
Positive Behaviour for Learning
The weekly PBL rule is drawn from our Behaviour Matrix. Each week our children focus on a whole school rule that meets our five school expectations
This week’s PBL focus is:
We are RESPECTFUL
(On the move)
We are learning to keep a safe distance, walk quietly, and be mindful of others.
