Sacred Heart Celebrates 125 Years!

It's full steam ahead with preparations for our special event!  Read about our plans for the two day celebration...

Friday 12 June

We warmly invite our families and community to join us as we celebrate 125 years of Sacred Heart Primary School.

Families are invited to attend our whole school Mass at 9:15am, with our choir leading the singing, followed by a whole school photo captured by drone and a shared morning tea with birthday cake for the whole school and families.

For the remainder of the day, students will then participate in a range of celebration activities - a workshop and craft activity, followed by a sausage sizzle and an icypole for lunch.

If you do not wish for your child to have sausages, we ask that you please provide lunch as normal. Halal sausages will be available. Additionally, if your child requires a vegetarian sausage, please contact Cath at cpalmer@shnewport.catholic.edu.au.

Sunday 14th June

We also warmly invite families and parishioners to join us for our Parish Mass as we continue celebrating 125 years of Sacred Heart. Special guests, including past principals and teachers, have been invited to share in this memorable occasion.

Following Mass, everyone is invited to enjoy a Devonshire tea morning tea, children’s activities, open classrooms and historical displays showcasing the rich history of our school community. Our choir will also be singing during the morning tea celebrations.

We would love for our families to join us on this special Sunday morning as we celebrate together as a parish and school community.

We would love to gather and share memories from across the years of Sacred Heart. If any of our families are past students and would be willing to share photos, old uniforms or special memories, please contact Cath or Caitlin.

Confirmation Faith Formation Evening

Thank you to our Year 6 students and families who attended our Confirmation Formation Evening last night at Sacred Heart Primary School.

We are grateful to Fr Elio Capra for leading such a meaningful evening as our students continue preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. It was a special opportunity to gather in faith, reflect on the gifts of the Holy Spirit and continue supporting our young people on their sacramental journey.

Sacred Heart Choir

Our choir has been busy rehearsing for our upcoming 125 Year Celebrations and are sounding fantastic!

Led by Kate and Bre on vocals, with Therese accompanying on keyboard, students have been working hard to prepare a wonderful selection of songs for our community celebrations.

We are so proud of their enthusiasm, commitment and beautiful singing. They cannot wait to perform for you during our 125 year celebrations!
