This term students are working on a Cultural 3D Mask.  Prep - Carnival, Gr 1 - Egyptian, Gr 2 - Chinese Dragons, Gr 3 & 4s - Mexican, Gr 5 - Festivals and Grade 6 - were given the choice from a range of cultures.  Students explored and discussed the uses and significance of cultural masks around the world.  They saw images of a variety of examples. Students were then asked to plan and design a mask on their given culture.  This involves students selecting appropriate materials and colours to embellish their masks.  This included students using their skills of painting, drawing and embellishing to create their mask.

The Prep students will continue to build on their skills through exploring watercolour, ink, cutting and paper manipulation.
