Gorillas, javelins and umbrellas.

A sneak peek ahead of our Week 8 parent, family walk through on June 11th.

Our Year 9 Auslan, along with some guest artists have made an umbrella forest. It was a long time in designing, but I couldn't be prouder of the design work, the collaboration, effort and result. I wonder if year 9 parents can spot their child? 

Display will be up in Miss Johnston's JL1 office! 

In English do you remember studying words that start with a G? In Auslan we do a similar thing, but because we didn't write, we create signs that start with a fist 👊,  like gorillas, brothers and umbrellas. 

As part of our walk through we made an umbrella stand full of signs we have learned.
