Year 3/4 Learning Reflection

This week in Syntax, Grade 4 students have been learning about adverbial phrases. These are groups of words that give us more information about the verb, such as when, where, how or why something happens. Students have been practising identifying adverbial phrases in sentences and using them to add more detail to their own writing.
This week in Systemic Knowledge, 4A headed outside to investigate soil. Using magnifying glasses, they looked closely at the soil to find organic and inorganic materials.
This week in Maths, 3B students have been busy exploring data collection and representation. Working in pairs, students developed their own survey questions involving categorical data before collecting responses from their peers. They then interpreted their data, and worked with great care and precision to represent their findings in colourful column graphs. Some of our fantastic graphs are now on display outside our classroom, so feel free to pop by and check them out!
