Introducing our Sports and House Captains
Sports Captains
My name is Tom. I am a Sport Captain for 2021. I am really excited to do my best to make the school a better place. Some of my hobbies are playing ping pong, surf life saving, running and athletics. My favourite athletics event is the 800 metre race. I have been to district athletics in many events.
I do the surf life saving program, nippers every summer at Point Lonsdale and have got many ribbons and even a first place flag that I got for winning the 800 metre beach run. I have a ping pong table at home which I constantly use every day. I also have an intense fear of bunny rabbits.
The sports that I play are swimming, AFL, cricket and tennis. My favourite subject at school not including specialists, is reading. I love skiing and I do black runs in it. I have also done aerobics for 2 years now and my first year I got into boys 1 and this year we haven't got our teams yet.
If anyone ever needs anything they can always ask me and I will be happy to help. Just to repeat, I am really looking forward to being the sport captain this year. I am always enthusiastic and will make sure to put in my best effort.

Hi my name is Willow and I am one of your Sports Captains for 2021, alongside Tom. I am stoked to continue my last year as Sports Captain! I will put all my effort and heart into my job and try my best to make sports this year as fun as possible!
I am a bright enjoyable person who can take things seriously if needed. Ask me to do something and I'll get straight to it! My favourite author is David Walliams and my favourite book he has written is Beast of Buckingham Palace. My favourite TV series is Jonas from Disney+. My dream job is to be an actor. The sports I most enjoy are basketball, netball, aerobics and swimming. Lastly, my favourite animal is a ferret!
Every year, I can't wait for sports events. I hope we can move on from what happened last year and continue this year with high spirits and exciting events! I can't wait!
House Captains
Anyula (Red)
Hi, my name is Benjamin and I am the Red House Captain for 2021. I am excited about my last year at Syndal South and I hope it is the best.
My job is to help people get sports equipment they want to use at snack and lunchtime. Another role I have is to represent Red House as their Captain alongside Lucy and to help with any activities that are related to sport at school. One of my favorite subjects is math because you can find out amazing things when you experiment with math.
In my family, there are 5 of us, me, my mum, dad, little brother, and little sister. One of our favorite things to do is to play board games or watch movies together on Friday night. Some hobbies I have are swimming, golf and soccer. I play piano and in my spare time, I love to code. I also love to read, especially Horrible History.
I am dedicated to my role and in anything I do, I always do my best and cheer people on, so they can be motivated to try harder. I am a kind and caring person and I love to help people out.
I hope we can all make this last year our best year.

Hi, my name is Lucy and I am so excited to be your red house captain for 2021.
I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself. I have been playing sports (mainly Netball) for over 2 years now, and I love to play it! I always play GK (Goal Keeper) and GD (Goal Defence) but, I know some of you probably don’t know a lot about Netball so I’ll stop with that.
I love to draw and spend time with my dog and go to the dog park with her. I looooooooooooooove to read, depending on the book. I like to do art, making origami, singing, playing piano and so much more! My favourite food is honey chicken and my favourite drink is peach ice tea. My favourite movie is Aladdin (the new one) and my favourite colour is navy/dark blue.
I have been at this school for 7 years and this is my last year at Syndal South Primary School. I promise that I will try my best to make everyone happy at Syndal South Primary School in 2021. Thank you for reading my article.

Arunta (Yellow)
Hello, my name is Eunseo and I am the 2021 yellow house captain along with Jagan. I am thrilled to be the house captain of Arunta and I will try my very best to keep up everybody's expectations.
I try my best at most every task.
My favourite subject in school has to be art because I enjoy drawing a lot. My hobbies include drawing, reading and I also often write stories. I write stories in my own time. I also love traveling and going to new places. I am creative and very specific when it comes to small details.
I am very excited to be yellow house captain of 2021. I will try my very best in order to hopefully be a good house captain. I enjoy sports and physical activities and playing with my friends. I am good at planning events and experiencing new things. I will help others when they need it. I enjoy interacting with others and if I land on an interesting topic I could talk for hours. I enjoy physical activities like swimming, tennis, riding my bike and badminton.

Hello! I am Jagan and I am your Yellow House captain for 2021 alongside Eunseo.
In my free time, I enjoy playing ping pong on my competition-size ping pong table. I also play tennis, and when I can I love to just grab a book and read for hours on end. My favourite series is Alex Rider, and I also enjoy Harry Potter. My favourite subject is science (especially when we do experiments). I play the guitar, but I’m still learning and I’m not very good at it yet.
As a house captain, my jobs are to do the sport shed, which is where you get your sport equipment from every day. You can see me working hard at the sport shed on Thursdays. I also have a role in the organisation of school-wide sports activities. For example, I helped with the recent athletics carnival we had, as Eunseo and I prepared a chant for yellow house.
My friends say that I am kind and also sometimes funny. Do not be afraid to approach me as I am a social person, and I will put down whatever I am doing and give you my full attention.
Thanks to all the teachers and students who have supported me in my time at Syndal South. Thank you for making me your Yellow House captain. You will not regret it.

Kunjen (Green)
Hello my name is Godwin and I am the male green house captain for 2021. It really is a pleasure to be the green house captain and I am very confident that the green house will succeed in house activities and sports.
I play sports like tennis, badminton, cycling, soccer, skiing and more. I come from Hong Kong and I used to go to a school called Victoria Shanghai Academy (VSA). I used to be a prefect in my old school and its job is to help other people if they need help or if you see someone doing something they should not be doing you would go to them and stop them and tell them you should not be doing that, and because I used to be a prefect I have experience in helping and leading others. I will do my absolute best to make the green house shine and prosper this year.

Hello, my name is Leah, and I am one of your Kunjen captains for 2021.
I love all kinds of sports, however my favourites are mountain bike riding, netball, skateboarding, surfing, skiing, swimming, aerobics, hiking and running.
I have many other hobbies including reading, craft/art, cooking/baking, scouts and camping.
I encourage all my friends, peers and classmates to keep on going when things are tough.
I like to be with friends and family and I am always outgoing and easy to talk to so don't hesitate to come and see me if you have anything to discuss. I care about everyone and want everyone to be happy and included. I will try my hardest to do my best with my captaincy role.

Pintubi (Blue)
Hi, my name is Isha and I am your Blue House Captain for 2021 along with Justin! I will try my hardest to make sure everyone enjoys themselves this year. I hope to help my house achieve great heights and make sure that everyone participates in all events.
I run the sports shed every Wednesday, so if you want to borrow any equipment, feel free to visit the shed at recess! Just make sure to keep your ears open for the announcement stating that students must return their sports equipment to the shed. I organize the annual House Sports, along with other house captains. I am planning to make up a great chant and poster for Blue House this year! I help the new foundation students in their PE lessons every Thursday as well.
Reading books gives me a break from the digital world; Harry Potter is one of my favourite book series. My favourite subject in school is Science because I love doing experiments to find out more about how things work. I am passionate about art and I always try to do something creative. Badminton is one of the sports that I play and enjoy very much, along with other sports. I like to swim at Huntingtower and am in Pre-Squad. I adore athletics; shotput being my favourite event. Every year, I look forward to competing in the House Sports.
I hope we can move on from what was a dull 2020 and look forward to a new year full of exciting events!

Hi, my name is Justin. I got chosen to be a blue house captain for 2021. I'm very excited for the coming event for Syndal South Primary.
I’m very aware of what role I have. Last year I tried for SRC and I was chosen, after I was SRC I wanted to try something more challenging so I signed up for an important captain role and I got selected. I partner with my other blue house captain and I do the sport shed on time.
I’m very dedicated to my job and I always try to do my best. Importantly, I give my best efforts at school and finish my job properly, and I always try to help younger kids who are in need. When I talk to friends I laugh a lot and I try to stay positive all the time. Adding on, I enjoy spending most of my time creating things playing sports like tennis, volleyball and basketball.
