Senior School

With the exception of our new Year 12s, across the Senior School our students are now (almost) finished their assessments for the year and are beginning to scent the freedom of the Christmas Holidays. At the same time, however, there are a great many exciting and important events to come. 

Our Year 7s, 8s and 9s are looking forward to performing their roles in the Years 7 to 9 Musical, A Christmas Carol. For many of our students over many years, participating in the Musicals has been a central feature of their school-lives and I am confident that for these students the experience will be similar. 

Please make sure you book your tickets and support our students! 

Our Year 10 students are now half-way through the Year 10 Preparation Program, focusing on the knowledge, skills and understanding they will need to begin their Year 11 studies successfully in the new year. Sessions focus on study and examination skills, wellbeing and careers, and I am confident that this cohort will take up the challenge of senior studies with great success. 

Our Year 12 students have now begun their HSC studies in earnest, with many currently undertaking their first formal assessment tasks over recent weeks. We wish them well as they begin this important journey. 

At the end of this year, we will be congratulating our students on their many achievements at the Senior School Presentation Ceremony on Wednesday, 7th December, from 1:00pm to 2:30pm. Please save the date and I will look forward to celebrating with you all.

Important Information from Transport NSW

The school has been advised by Transport NSW about next week’s train disruptions on Monday 21st and Friday 25th November. 

Please be advised this may impact student journeys to and from school as there will be a number of cancelled services on the Sydney Trains and NSW Trains network. 

Transport NSW has informed the school that there will be significant delays and longer travel times. Transport NSW has recommended to avoid non-essential travel where possible and plan ahead at https://transportnsw.info/
