Book Week News

Term 3 is always exciting because there are so many fun and interesting celebration events being held. One particular favourite - especially at Scoresby PS - is Book Week. Book Week takes place this year from 19th-25th August. As always, we have plenty of whole-school activities planned for everyone to get involved with and celebrate everything great about books and reading. Here are some things we have planned; more details will be forwarded closer to the time.

• Scholastic Book Fair - our annual Scholastic Book Fair will be open for sales to the community on 21st, 22nd and 23rd August.
• CBCA 2023 Shortlisted Book Discovery - students will have many opportunities to discover some of the wonderful books that have been voted as the CBCA's 2023 Shortlisted Finalists, including lunchtime read-alouds by our senior students to the whole school.
• The Great SPS Book Swap - a new event on our Book Week calendar, all students will bring a book and swap it to take home a different book. Watch out for details about this fun activity.
• Book Week Dress-Up Day - a Book Week favourite, and the chance to show how creative you can be in dressing as a character from one of your favourite books.
