VCE Art Exhibition

On Wednesday 21st November, Warrnambool College held their VCE exhibition for Studio Arts, Visual Communication & Media at The Outlaw Gallery. We were delighted by the attendance of students, parents, relatives, community members and teachers, it was wall to wall.

The body of work exhibited encompassed a range of Methods and Media including drawing, painting, printmaking, 3D process, film making, works on paper and publication. Students have developed their ideas from an imagined client, a subject or an experience which has sparked an idea or concept. The process of making or designing involves creating problems and then solving them, developing skills, trialling concepts and developing a folio with breadth and depth. The journey is often where the ‘magic’ happens but the final presentation is where the vision is fulfilled.

The exhibition celebrated the success of our young students who have developed a range of ideas, messages and meanings in their exploration of creative thinking.

We are proud of their achievements and we thank them for their consistent approach to learning from both a theoretical and practical perspective.

Well done.

The Outlaw Gallery (Fletcher Jones – Upstairs) will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 11.00 am – 4.00 pm, please pop into to view the work.
