Marine
CJC’s student environment leaders have participated in their first event of the Victorian Marine Ambassador Program. Sylvie and Oscar boarded the Moonraker at Sorrento Pier on Thursday 23rd March, alongside ambassadors from other schools around Melbourne. They learnt about some of the local aquatic animals and snorkelled close to seals, dolphins and weedy sea dragons. They will share some more about their experience at assembly. Stay tuned for more from Sylvie and Oscar as they have a project to do that requires the help of our school community!
It’s raffle time!
Sparkle, Snowy and Sapphire need corn and chickpeas to see them through the rest of Term 1 and into Term 2.
They are accepting donations in exchange for raffle tickets!
One tin of corn or chickpeas earns one raffle ticket.
Two tins will earn you THREE raffle tickets. That’s right – a bonus ticket!
The raffle will be drawn on Wednesday 5th April and you could win this rainbow starburst blanket, or this bright and squishy cushion!
All raffle tickets are placed immediately into the raffle box so they cannot be lost.
If you can help look after the chickens during the holidays, please send an email to Mme

Thank you!
Soft plastic and bread closures
Redcycle is no longer accepting soft plastics for recycling, but APR Plastics have stepped in to help! A collection box will arrive at school soon. In the meantime, please collect your bread bags at home and keep an eye on the newsletter for an announcement about the arrival of the collection box.
We are also still collecting plastic bread closures, which are recycled to make new products. Profits go to helping people with disabilities access mobility devices such as wheelchairs.
