Permissions & Payment
Miners Rest Primary School is pleased to offer our students an array of extracurricular activities, camps and events throughout the school year. Our Term 4 calendar is already shining with a wonderful range of opportunities for students to learn, explore and create lasting memories beyond the classroom.
Camps, excursions and other activities enhance and broaden the schooling experience for our students. These activities are provided on a user-pays basis in accordance with the Department of Education’s Parent Payments Policy and the Miners Rest Camps & Excursion Policy.
Activity information, including costs, permission requirements and due dates, is published through the SENTRAL Portal.
We ask that families please respond to all permissions within the timeframe provided, whether you are providing consent or declining the activity. Having a response from every family, even when your child will not be attending, helps the school maintain accurate records and plan activities effectively.
The school will monitor permissions and, where appropriate, send a reminder approximately one week prior to the closing date. We appreciate families taking a moment to check SENTRAL regularly and respond to permissions as they become available. We thank you for your support.
We thank our families for their prompt attention to permissions and payments. Your support helps our staff plan efficiently and ensures our Term 4 activities can run as smoothly as possible for everyone.
Many families have a credit balance on their school account which can be nominated for use towards eligible activities and camps during the permission and payment process.
Updated Family Statements will be emailed home at the end of Term 3, allowing families an opportunity to review their account balance ahead of the busy Term 4 period.
Students who have not finalised payment by the required date for camps and excursions provided on a user-pays basis will not be able to attend, unless the Principal determines that exceptional circumstances apply.
Miners Rest Primary School will make all efforts to ensure that students are not excluded for financial reasons. Families experiencing financial difficulty are invited to discuss alternative payment arrangements with the Principal.
