Money, Money, Money!

Our Juniors have been busy developing their money skills in Maths! We have been practising skip-counting to help us count Australian coins and work out how much money we have.

To make our learning fun and meaningful, we have been using Woolworths catalogues to go shopping! Students have searched through the catalogues to find items they would like to buy, checked the prices, and then worked out which coins they would need to pay for their purchases.

This hands-on activity has been a great way to practise skip-counting, recognising coins, counting amounts and solving simple money problems while having lots of fun along the way!
