Wellbeing Report

SWPBS
Last week our whole school received their first SWPBS reward. Students loved their ice-creams topped with lollies, smarties and chocolate biscuits. They are now working towards a PJ Day or Crazy Hair Day.
Year 5 Young Leaders
Our Art club has been a hit at school. The first week was a “how to draw” lesson where students learnt how to draw a picture of a frog, a cat, and a dog. Frankie showed excellent leadership skills, including patience, clear instructions and positivity. In the second week, students took part in an art competition exploring the theme ‘Your True Self’, using their creativity to express what makes them unique. Students depicted themselves in all kinds of ways using watercolour and drawing materials. I look forward to our next art club.
Berry Street Training
This week our staff completed their final day of Berry Street training. So far this training has driven huge change in our school and provided consistency across campuses. Berry Street has shaped all staff’s approach to student behaviours, the importance of positive reinforcement and building strong connections with students and their families. Our classes now run Morning Circle each day to facilitate a sense of community and belonging in the classroom, each student has their own Ready to Learn Plan for times when they may be feeling dysregulated, varied learning experiences to stimulate learning, rich learning environments, brain breaks to either calm our bodies down or energise us ready to learn, and strengthening our amazing staff bond.
