'School Wide Positive Behaviour'
Â
At Cowwarr PS, our School-Wide Positive Behaviour approach helps students understand what positive behaviour looks like, sounds like and feels like across our school. Our School-Wide Behaviour Matrix provides clear and consistent expectations, built around our values of Respect, Resilience, Responsibility and Self-Belief.
Â
Throughout this term, students are explicitly learning and practising these positive behaviours. Our focus includes whole-body listening, understanding how our behaviour affects the learning of others, and celebrating and encouraging the success of our classmates. By teaching these skills together, we are helping every student contribute to a safe, positive and supportive place to learn and grow.
This term, we are continuing to practise what it looks like to be a great listener. Students are learning that listening is about more than just our ears, it involves keeping our bodies calm, focusing on the person speaking and using our brains to think about what is being shared. These simple skills help us learn, follow instructions and show respect to others.

Â
Students are learning that the choices we make with our behaviour can have an impact on everyone around us. We are exploring what it means for everyone to have the right to learn and practising the positive behaviours that help our classmates feel safe, focused and ready to do their best.
Â

Â
Students are learning that celebrating the achievements of others helps create a positive and encouraging place to learn. We are practising using kind words and actions to recognise when others have done well, and learning that cheering each other on helps everyone feel supported, valued and proud of their efforts.
