Keeping Our School Healthy

As we move through the winter months, we are seeing an increase in coughs, colds and other illnesses circulating throughout our community. We kindly ask all families to keep children at home if they are unwell. While we know this can sometimes be inconvenient, keeping sick children home helps reduce the spread of illness and protects both our students and staff.

When students attend school while unwell, germs can spread quickly through classrooms, resulting in more children and staff becoming sick and impacting learning across the school. Thank you for helping us maintain a healthy learning environment for everyone by ensuring children return to school once they are feeling well.

State Schools Spectacular Performance

We are incredibly proud of our talented students who have been rehearsing as part of the Victorian State Schools Spectacular. Families are warmly invited to join us at tomorrow afternoon's assembly, where our performers will showcase a preview of their routine before the big event.

The performance will take place during our assembly at 3.00 pm, and we look forward to celebrating the hard work, commitment and enthusiasm of these students with our school community.

Celebrating 100 Days of Prep!

A huge congratulations to our wonderful Prep students, who have officially reached 100 days of school! It has been a fantastic milestone, and we are so proud of how much they have learned and grown since beginning their school journey earlier this year.

Families are invited to join us at tomorrow's 3.00 pm assembly, where our Prep students will perform a special 100 Days of School celebration. We can't wait to celebrate this exciting achievement with them.

Continuing Our Responsive Teaching Journey

Our commitment to continually improving teaching and learning remains a key priority at Box Hill North Primary School. This week our staff continued their professional learning journey with educational consultant Bronwyn Ryrie Jones, further developing our understanding and implementation of Responsive Teaching practices.

Alongside our whole-staff professional learning session, our Middle Leaders also participated in an off-site learning day on Wednesday, while members of our leadership team attended a Community of Practice session at a neighbouring school on Monday. These opportunities allow us to collaborate with other educators, reflect on current research and refine our teaching practices to ensure every student experiences high-quality, responsive instruction.

We are excited to continue embedding this work across the school as we strive to provide the very best learning opportunities for all students.
