2025 Staffing & Classes

2025 Staffing Updates

I am pleased to confirm our 2025 staffing. As mentioned in the previous newsletter, next year we will be running 24 classes, five specialist subjects, Literacy Support, the Tutor Learning Initiative and the Student Excellence program.

 

Welcomes

  • We look forward to welcoming Conor Markey and James Nash to our staff next year.
  • We will be welcoming back Emilia McDonald, Anna Moore, Sophie Ratcliffe and Faye Söderström to FPS, following periods of leave.

Changes

  • Prue Middleton has made the decision to return to the classroom full-time next year, having been in the role of wellbeing leader in 2024.
  • Grace Clark (5 days per week) and Cathy Turner (4 days per week) will continue in the role of wellbeing leaders (this is an increase in the number of days that they are performing this role).

Farewells

  • Lauren Withers will be taking 12 months leave next year.
  • Jourdan Murray will be on family leave next year, returning in term four.
  • Kelly McKeown will take family leave from the start of term two next year.
  • At the end of this year we will be saying farewell to Sarah Collard, Alannah Dowling and Gemma Rymer. On behalf of the school, I say thank you to Sarah, Alannah and Gemma for their contributions to FPS.

 

Our new and returning teachers will be attending the Meet Your Teacher session on Tuesday 17th December, from 9:45 – 10:30am (with the exception of Anna Moore who is currently overseas). They also attended our handover sessions – this is when the current classroom teacher hands over relevant information to the next year’s teacher.

Year 1 (4 classes) Classrooms are in the double-storey building by Langridge Street.

Year 2 (4 classes) Classrooms are located in the single-storey portables.

Year 3 (3 classes) Two rooms are in the administration wing, between the school office and library. The other class is by the Old Hall, next to the Science room.

Year 4 (4 classes) Three classes are located first/top floor of the Fairfield Road Building. The fourth classroom is the middle room on the ground floor of the Fairfield Road Building.

2025 Class Lists

Class lists for next year are finalised, and students will meet their 2025 teachers and classmates in their new classrooms on  Tuesday 17th December, from 9:45 – 10:30am.

 

If your children will not be at school on this day, send the office an email so that we can respond with your child's teacher/class information.
