YEAR 12 NEWS

Year 12 Update
I would like to begin by congratulating all year 12 students for their hard work and diligence over the last three weeks as students complete their 2nd assessment task for their HSC courses. As we enter the Easter holidays, I wish all students a restful, balanced break and look forward to celebrating their academic success when we return in Term 2.
Save the date - Parent-Teacher meetings
Next term will provide students and parent/carers the opportunity to come and meet with our teachers during Parent-Teacher night. Bookings will open when we return next term for Tuesday 12th May. The evening will run from 3.30-6PM. Parents/Carers of Year 11 and 12 students are encouraged to meet with their teacher to discuss their child’s progress in their courses.
HSC Confirmation of Entries – New Online Process
In our last newsletter, I wrote about the new process that students will follow to confirm their NESA entries.
Students and families should be aware that HSC Confirmation of Entries are now available online. The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) has updated this process so that students now confirm their details digitally rather than signing a paper document.
This confirmation allows students to check that their pattern of study, personal details, and the method by which they will receive their HSC results at the end of the year are correct.
As our assessment block has now concluded and next week is shorter than usual, I will be meeting with Year 12 students across Weeks 2-4 in their English classes in Term 2. I will guide them through logging into their Schools Online profile and completing the sign-off process.
As we wrap up Term 1, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank the students, staff and parents/carers of Wyndham College for the warm way that I have been welcomed. Have a great holiday and see you all in Term 2.
