Naidoc Week

On Friday 17 July, we will be celebrating NAIDOC Week as a whole school.

Our day will begin with a special morning assembly from 9:15–9:30 am, featuring a Welcome to Boonwurrung Country and Smoking Ceremony, led by Marbee. Families are welcome to attend this special event.

Throughout the day, students will participate in classroom activities, create artwork, attend cultural workshops, and learn about the significance of NAIDOC Week and the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Students are invited to wear a touch of red, yellow and black, or clothing that celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

We will also hold our regular Friday afternoon assembly at 3:00 pm, where students will share some of their learning from the day.

We look forward to celebrating this important occasion together.
