Lunch Orders – Lasagne and Sushi!
This term SKiPPA and our parent volunteers are offering Lasagne Wednesdays and Sushi Fridays with both programs starting in Week 3 for 7 weeks.
Please place your orders before the closing date to ensure your child doesn’t miss out.
We can’t wait to have these delicious lunches back for another term!
Lasagne orders will run on Wednesdays beginning 29th July until 9th September.
Orders close Wednesday 22nd July at 5pm.

Sushi orders will run on Fridays beginning 31st July until 11th September.
Orders close Tuesday 28th July. No orders can be taken after this date for Term 3.

Run Club: Christmas in July edition
Run Club is back for Term 3! To celebrate, this Friday will be a theme week. If you have it, a chance to wear your Christmas gear for a second time in the year, while you run* to a playlist of upbeat holiday tunes (*walking or just sipping coffee also totally acceptable).
A heads up that there will be some sweet treats involved (*vegan and gluten-free options available).
A reminder that Run Club is on every Friday morning there is school. Kids run laps each week, and get certificates at assembly for milestones. Meet us at the pavilion on the oval, 8am-8:45am. Grown ups welcome to run laps too (but just for bragging rights) or just enjoy the tunes and a catch-up.
Thank You for Supporting Parent Teacher Interviews
A big thank you to the many families who have attended Parent Teacher Interviews this week. It has been wonderful to see such strong engagement from our community and to have the opportunity to reflect together on each child's learning and growth during the first half of the year.
We place enormous value on these conversations. While school reports provide an important snapshot of your child's achievement and progress, nothing replaces the opportunity for families and teachers to sit down together, celebrate successes, discuss areas for continued growth and work collaboratively to plan the best possible path forward. This has been particularly important this semester, with written report comments unavailable due to the Australian Education Union's industrial action. These meetings provide the rich context, personalised feedback and opportunity for discussion that written comments would normally offer.
One of the greatest strengths of St Kilda Park Primary School is the partnership we share with our families. When parents and teachers work together, communicate openly and share a common understanding of each child's strengths, needs and goals, students are the ones who benefit most. These conversations help ensure that home and school are working together to support every child to thrive.
We are confident that the positive discussions held this week have laid a strong foundation for another semester of learning, growth and success.
If you were unable to attend your scheduled interview this week, we encourage you to contact your child's classroom teacher to arrange an alternative meeting time. We know that these conversations are invaluable, and we would love every family to have the opportunity to connect with their child's teacher as we begin Semester Two.
Chicken helpers needed!
As always, we are asking our wonderful community to support us this term by signing up to help look after our four friendly and happy chickens.
You will be required to check in on the chickens, collect the eggs, top up food and water, remove manure and replace hay. This should take 15 minutes maximum. However, you are welcome to hang out and relax with the chickens if you would like. They do enjoy spending time out of the coop so please let them them roam and lock them back up before you leave.
If you think you can help out, please click on the link below to sign up for one or more days during the term.
Please get in touch with Allison to complete a training session before or after school to show you where the equipment is kept and how to access the coop.
There are also instructions inside the chicken house. These have been updated so please read carefully for any changes.
Each day you volunteer you get to keep the eggs you collect. There should be 4 per day. They tend to lay in the afternoon.
St Kilda Penguins - Locals Day!
St Kilda Penguins is offering multiple FREE viewing sessions exclusively for the Local Community to book and visit the Little Penguins of St Kilda (located at the very end of the newly built St Kilda Pier).
These FREE viewing sessions will be held on 31st July (Friday) and 1st August (Saturday) and will be available to book from 16th July (this Thursday) , by eligible local community members until booked out.
This offer is open to residents of Port Phillip, Glen Eira, Bayside, and Stonnington local council areas and residents will need to show proof of residency upon arrival for their penguin viewing session. (Rates notice, drivers licence or utilities bill)
St Kilda Penguins will be holding 2 sessions each night at 6pm and 7 pm. Whilst the sessions are free of charge, a booking is essential to enter a session.
