Curriculum
Health and Drama: Personal Social Changes
In our Curriculum unit of Health and Drama, students will explore aspects of their personal and social identity by explaining how individual qualities contribute to who they are. They will describe the physical and social changes that occur as they grow older, while demonstrating personal and social skills to build and develop respectful relationships.
Students will investigate how emotional responses affect both their own and others' feelings, and they will learn to apply protective behaviours and help-seeking strategies to keep themselves and others safe.
Additionally, students will explain the importance of health information in making informed choices. Alongside these personal developments, students will immerse themselves in the world of Drama by identifying where, why, and how people across diverse cultures, communities, and contexts experience it. Through exploring elements of drama, students will use their expressive and performance skills to improvise, create original works, and confidently present their stories to audiences in informal settings.
