Writing  

In Year 2, students will continue to develop their writing skills across a range of text types, including narratives and informative texts. When writing narratives, students will continue to develop their knowledge of text sequencing and retelling. 

In informational texts, students will develop their writing by using topic sentences that introduce the topic clearly, using a variety of sentence types such as simple sentences and compound sentences. 

We will continue to work on handwriting in both our reading and writing lessons.
