Principal's Report

I can't believe we've almost hit August and are over halfway through the school year. We've packed a lot into the start of term with an incursion from Parliament, a 100 days of school celebration and an athletics day showcasing the skills of all our students. I'm not sure how we'll fit everything in this term but there's so much to look forward to. Grade 6 carwash, book week dress up, 3-6 camp and F-2 excursion just to name a few. 

All classes are having a unit on Science this term, all culminating in a Science Fair in the last week. Out Student Council asked for it, how could we say no? More information will follow closer to the time. 

Over the break we had our new fence installed. Our old one has gone to a new home to be repurposed and we're left with a beautiful cyprus post and rail. KDB Contracting have done a lovely job and by the sounds they've picked up some extra work from passers by and people calling the school. 

I need to give a shoutout to these guys for their yoyo skills. Every recess and lunchtime they're practicing and teaching each other new tricks. The modern yoyos sure have come a long way since the ones I used back in the day. 

DRESS FOR THE WEATHER

Please be mindful of the cold weather when helping your child prepare their uniform for the day. We're noticing plenty without jumpers and jackets, please encourage wearing some warm layers! This really supports our sustainable practices by layering up, being warm and minimising the time spent of the heaters blasting. We have some second hand uniform available at the office for a gold coin donation, alternatively you can jump on Edu-Threads to look at the Winter range.
