🌿 Beginning Each Day with Calm
Morning meditation has long been a valued part of our daily routine. Each day, we begin with a few quiet minutes together to help set a calm and positive tone for learning.
Taking this time allows students to slow down, settle their thoughts, and gently prepare their minds for the day ahead. In a busy world, children often move quickly from one activity to the next. Our morning meditation provides a consistent and reassuring pause, a chance to breathe deeply, feel grounded, and transition into learning with focus.
Regular mindfulness practice supports students to strengthen their concentration, regulate emotions, and build resilience. It also helps create a peaceful classroom environment where everyone feels safe, settled, and ready to learn.
To gain the full benefit of this practice, it is important that students arrive at school on time each day. Being present for our morning meditation helps children start the day feeling calm, connected, and ready to learn alongside their classmates.
Most importantly, this daily practice nurtures positive wellbeing habits that students can carry beyond the classroom. Even a few mindful minutes each morning can make a meaningful difference ✨
💛Wellbeing Club
Our Social Justice Leaders, Lily H and Lily E, have proudly launched our new Wellbeing Club! 🌿✨ The club runs every Wednesday at lunchtime in the Wellbeing Room, where students can enjoy games, puzzles, drawing, colouring, and reading, all in a calm and welcoming space.
Wellbeing Club is a wonderful opportunity for students who may need a little break from the excitement of the playground to relax with friends and take part in mindful activities, thoughtfully led by our fantastic captains.🧩🎨📚 We are so proud of the leadership and care Lily H and Lily E are showing in creating this special space for others 💛.
