2026 KOKODA SCHOLARSHIPS NOW OPEN

2026 Kokoda Scholarships 

The Nationals’ Member for Mildura, Jade Benham, is encouraging local students in Years 10-12 to apply for the 2026 Farnsworth Lochhead Lowe Kokoda Scholarship, with applications now open and closing on the 13th of March.

The scholarship gives participants the chance to follow in the footsteps of soldiers on the historic Kokoda Trail. They will trek through rugged jungle terrain, experience the challenges faced by those who fought in the campaign, and visit Bomana War Cemetery to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Last year, one of our Year 12 students, Hannah Saunders, was one of two successful local students who joined Jade on the trek. Hannah had an amazing experience and is now in the process of finalising her application to the Australian Defence Force. See some photos from her trip attached and details on how to apply.
