Indigenous-specific books in the library

We would like to sincerely thank Peter Allan for organising the Deadly Futures funding and acknowledge MADEC Australia for their generous support. 

This funding has enabled our school to develop high-quality, Indigenous-specific resources designed to strengthen literacy outcomes for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Through this support, we have been able to create culturally responsive materials that honour students’ identities, embed local perspectives and foster a deeper connection to learning. The funding has also enabled us to purchase a full class set of Deadly, Unna, enriching student learning through meaningful and relevant texts.

We are grateful for this investment in our students’ futures and for the opportunity to continue building stronger, more inclusive pathways to success.
